Kerry - No Kennedy - No My Rep. Marty Meedhan is advancing a plan for withdrawing troops from Iraq.
Geez, it's a great day to be from MA.
Edit: Upon reconsideration, this also means that I am truly from the bluest of the blue. So blue it's almost Navy. hmmmmm, forum creep.

Luckily he cares about all of us and is interested in foreign policy which helps all of us. :)
You are the bluest state--that county-by-county map of red/blue states showed Mass. as solid blue.
In Wisconsin we are blue, but on the edge :scared:
We have Dem senators Kohl and Feingold, a Dem governor, Dem mayors of our two largest cities, but we still only went blue by some 14,000 votes or so! That's the fault of our rural areas, as elsewhere. So we have to keep fighting hard. Dems should go into the central parts of the state where all the farms and small towns are.

Much better now. MA has problems. We may be blue, but anything can happen. We have to pay a lot of attention to folks in Western Ma. Their votes are what got us a Rethug Gov in Romney. I am duly humbled again. Sigh.
When does Kerry speak. I am incommunicado from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. (Dentist office.)

BTW I hope like hell all the snow the removed from Beacon Hill they took it and dumped it right at his front door with a sign sticking out of it saying "Compliments Of The Great Citizens Of Massachusetts!"
HEY HEY HO HO ROMNEY HAS GOT TO GO!

He hasn't spoken yet, but I think he may be next. We sure deserve him after the string of oily repukes and repuke wannabes (i.e. Feinstein) we've just been forced to listen to.
Cornyn, though, is just the utter dregs.

It's amazing how many of the Democrats are really making this a way to get people to start holding the Republicans accountable for the mess in Iraq and their lies.
I grew up in Indiana when Evan Bayh's dad Birch Bayh, who I think was a little more liberal than his son, was the Senator. Bayh's speech was great - seems there may be way more No's than anticipated. Although she will undoubtedly be confirmed, it seems like the Democrats are awake and are defining themselves.
I really wonder if they will do the same with Gonzales - they make the issue which party tolerates torture. Even if they can't block him, speaking strongly from the moral high ground that torture is not OK and that the Geneva conventions are not quaint, has to be good for the Democratic party's image.

Our Dems are standing up! Yay! They seem so certain and definite--while people like Sen. Hutchinson seems like she is grasping for SOMETHING positive to say! "as a trusted secretary of state, she will represent the president around the world"? Duh, all SOS's are supposed to do that!

It's amazing that saying what Bush and Rice have done is character assignation. Saying Iraq is a mess is partisan politics. Where was he last year? If he really thinks that this is not appropriate, he could have spoke up last summer. (At least there are no Stanford Professors for truth)
