2. Agreed! Great interview
Keep fighting and remember the 59 million who voted FOR you and not The Idiot King. I really liked this interview, it was feisty as hell. Yeah! JK breaks his silence and starts giving interviews again.

3. Here are some snips, the article is GOOD!

"What I'm doing is keeping a campaign promise," Kerry said ....

"You talk about family values, you talk about the moral fiber of our nation, I think it's inexcusable that millions of children are outside the system" with no health insurance, said Kerry. "I'll bring them in."

"It would be a silly waste of time to just sit around. I've got a great job. Did I want a different job? You're damn right I did. Would I have been happier with a win? Of course."

He said he would remain a voice in the Senate for the 57 million Americans who voted for him and his agenda, which included a move toward energy independence, protection of Social Security (news - web sites) and expanded health care.

5. He's such a 'mensch' (good and decent person).
Kerry proposes having the federal government pay for all Medicaid coverage costs for children at or below the poverty line rather than splitting the tab with the states as is now the practice. In return, states would be asked to expand coverage to children in families struggling above the poverty line.

Kerry said his measure would cost about $20 billion a year and could be funded entirely by rolling back Bush's tax cut to those earning more than $350,000 a year.

The senator said he intended to reach across the political aisle to build support for his proposal. Many lawmakers expect Bush to try to cut or restructure Medicaid when he releases his new budget next month.

"I don't want a partisan clash," Kerry said. But he added, "If they (Republicans) aren't willing to move it, I'm prepared to fight for it."

8. Best Sentence Ever: "We'll see where we stand in the future. Period."
Kerry, 61, dismissed as premature any talk he might run for the White House again.

"I've said publicly I'm not closing any doors. I'm not going to open any doors," Kerry said. "It is way too early."

"I think we came phenomenally close (in 2004). I'm very proud of the race that we ran under difficult circumstances," Kerry said, citing in particular the war in Iraq.

Kerry added, "We'll see where we stand in the future. Period."
