Vertigo kicked in and I had to eat. Vertigo is my souvenir from the 94 earthquake.
I will try to do better though - best thoughts to all who are sticking through it and great energy towards karendc.

I have absolutely no willpower whatsoever, I'm amazed at people who are able to do things like fast or even stick to their lent promises. You are an inspiration!!

11. No, I'm not - I was pretty pathetic. I had not one noble feeling inside me |
|
and kept thinking about eating. Trust me - I was pathetic.
My vertigo was probably from all the pics of food spinning around my head - I envisioned whirled peas, alright. ;)

From my Catholic teaching, FWIW. Faith isn't a feeling, it's a decision and a thousand decisions to act on faith, no matter how one feels at the time. Those 30 hours were an act of complete faith and offering a sacrifice to remember all the sacrifices others are making - and the ultimate sacrifice of Christ, if you believe in Him. Don't knock what you did, you did GOOD!!

Until I really started studying Catholicism as an adult, I was stuck with a lot of garbage they tell little kids too. Not that everything I learned convinced me to go back to Mass, too much goofiness in today's Church for that. But trust me, I'm tellin' ya right on your sacrifice. You made a decision and you did it. That's the whole deal, you done good.
