Kerry to appear at IMU with Armstrong, Harkin
U.S. senator and former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry will be appearing along with Sen. Tom Harkin and Lance Armstrong at the Iowa Memorial Union.

The three are appearing at a “field hearing on cancer research” in the second-floor ballroom of the IMU. Armstrong is in town as part of his appearance on the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa and Kerry is making several appearances over the weekend to stump for local Democratic Party candidates.

The event is at 8:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, and is free and open to public. The ballroom will open to seating at 7 a.m.

I'm glad he's with Harkin at the first one. It would be nice if Harkin was on his side this time.

11. But GV, I haven't seen him for 4 1/2 weeks.
Ahm, he's not a Steelers fan?
He's saving an appearance for Pittsburgh for the fall cuz he heard it's lovely that time of the year?
The Casey V. Santorum race is so good, he's savoring it and doesn't want to peak too early?

He's on his way, the Senator is just running a little late......

9. Yeah, and he hasn't been putting in time for Teddy K either
How is Teddy supposed to win if good Dems won't rally around him. Where has John been in Uncle Ted's hour of need? Why no rallies in Worcester? No picnics in Springfield? No posing with fish in Gloucester? I asks ya, what's that all about?

Excuse me, what? Unopposed you say, will get north of 80% of the vote, eh?

AHm, nevermind. go about your business. I can loan you a Senator if you want, but you have to have him back soon in good working order. (We do miss him you know. People like him don't just grow on trees ya know.)
