Spongebob and Health Care |
It blows my mind to think JK is introducing his bill for Children's Health Care the same week Dobson is lambasting the "pro-gay" message of Spongebob Squarepants. The Christian Right is obsessed with sex and just doesn't get it. What is more of a threat to our children a nice, happy cartoon sponge or no health care? Give me a frigging break!

2. Thank God for good Catholics like JK! |
Everyone gets down on him about being pro-choice, as if that makes him a bad Catholic. IMHO, a good Catholic is someone who cares for "the least" in society like children and gays.

3. he's more of a true Catholic than many of these republican jokers |
who are only anti abortion but support the death penalty, refuse to help the so called lazy poor, advocate war, I am proud that my political infleunce came from Catholics who knew poverty first hand. Hell my grandmother is even for equal rights as gays, just not calling it marriage, I am pro gay marriage but for a 77 year old woman who was brought up Catholic and raised her kids that way, that's very impressive, I think my grandfather feels the same, Ive always discussed more economic issues when I talk politics with them.

4. I'm wondering does your grandmother support |
gay rights because God makes you gay? That's JK and Dean's stances, as well as mine. (Another way they are similiar, don't you know?) Really think that civil rights for gays is something worth fighting for from a religious viewpoint of respecting God's creation and reverencing human dignity.

I think it's because she realizes that they are just like everyone else. I was really shocked to hear that from her, but I was happy to hear it of course.

7. She's an amazing lady that has been through so much in her life |
She worked in a time when many mothers did not as a secretary and as a waitress. I think its her and my grandfather's work ethic that helped make my mom work so hard. My mom is really successful now but she grew up in a lower middle class household.
