2. He has to be back by Saturday night for MTP on Sunday morning.
The speech this morning was in DC.

That is not much time for a trip to Europe.

I wonder if he had to cancel.

3. oh he could be there by now
if he flew out this afternoon--it's about6-7 hours from the East Coast, isn't it? Then spend tomorrow there, fly back at night or tomorrow morning.

4. Maybe a remote MTP?
If I were Russert, I'd look for a good excuse to go to Switzerland.

5. I doubt a remote appearance
The last thing Kerry would want is a pic of him in Europe with Hollywood people as background. The interview will probably be in a studio. Should be interesting. His last MTP was good. I am looking for some definitive "I will do" statements from him. That speaks of forward looking actions, resolve and determination to really take on this Admin. Kerry has the wonderful chance to be a major thorn in *'s side. Love it!

6. I thought he was there during the Rice confimation in the Senate
the first day of debate. I heard it on CNBC that he was there (or maybe it was that he was scheduled to be there).

7. Then he went for just a day
or that was just an announcement that he was supposed to be there.

I did see him the next day for the vote though I didn't expect to.

8. I googled to find some info
DAVOS, Switzerland -- First, a quiz.

What do the following people have in common? Chung Dong Young, Sharon Stone, John Kerry, George Soros, Bill Gates, Viktor Yushchenko, Bill Clinton, Angelina Jolie, Michael Dell, Kang Geum Shil...

All these people, who have nothing to do with one another, gathered in the Swiss resort town of Davos on Wednesday to attend the World Economic Forum, which is held every five years.

The forum, at which 3,000 of the world's most powerful figures have gathered, kicked off Tuesday at around 8 p.m. Korean time with an opening reception.

Here is the link, didn't hear much about it. But CNBC did give a quick dig to * mentioning how Kerry and Clinton were there but no high ranking * official.
