1. I love it too, XanaDuer. |

I love his accent and how he says "idear" for "idea." Howard Dean does that too. I love those New England Accents, very endearing.

He is pretty smart with this Kids' insurance thing.
Here is what I think he is doing:
Monkey McCokespoon is now asking for 80 billion dollars now to advance his midadventure in the Middle East.
Kerry is now introducing this just to make Republicans squirm (plus, it's the right thing to do). Timing is everything.
Let those republican bastards now say there is not enough money-let them get up in front of decent americans and say that American children should not all be insured, it will be political suicide.
Then, he will do the reverse-salami technique-keep spreading the health insurance until all Americans are covered.
He really does have our back, even for the people who hate him and think he does not.
:)

7. $ 80 billion is just sick |

most of it is going to Halliburton & the rest of the Bush war profiteers. Kerry is talking some sense, which I hope will not be drowned out by all this warmongering.

"jest" when they mean "just" :) I notice JK tries to squelch the "idear" thing--it comes out sometimes, not others. Yeah it's endearing.
His voice is very kind, reassuring, fatherly, protective. Ok, sexy too! :)

I don't see how anybody can listen to him and think there's anybody else to lead this country. I understand the right wing loyalists saying nasty things about Kerry. But our lively lefties, I'll never understand what their problem is with Kerry.

is so thin and tinny--it just grates on my ears---ughhh. And that is without considering what he's actually saying, which is usually very distasteful. How can people idolize him so much? How can they believe in him? It's baffling. He has always seemed to me like the kid in the back of the classroom who snickers and throws spitballs when the teacher's back is turned. JK is the kid in front who always has the right answers. But he's no wimp--the kid in back likes to bad-mouth the kid in front, but wouldn't dare do it to his face.

That's what I don't get. He's so totally disrespectful. I've always seen him as that lying, pos, jerk that tells you all the wonderful things he's going to do and then takes all your money and leaves you stranded when he's supposed to pick you up from work. I read an article at one point that said Kerry was the 1st husband, artsy and philosophical; and Bush was the 2nd, down to earth and committed.
:wow:
I always saw Bush as the 1st husband, drunken, belittling, self-absorbed asshole. And Kerry as the 2nd, attentive, steady, and confident. All you have to do is look at the kids to see who the better father is. I don't know what has come over the people in this country. assholeitis I guess.

Some on the times when he has spoken since the election (and pre-election when he was talking about Al Quaa' s explosives) the tone of his voice or the cadence of his speech sound more like when he was speaking to the crowd in 1971 (Going Upriver).
Also, for some reason, I love the way he says kids - sounds more like kidz.

19. I watched him on C-Span last night |

and broke down and cried. I too love listening to him and am very grateful that he is now taking such a strong stance. Right after the election when I didn't see him daily like I had before I missed him terribly. I cried b/c it is just too overwhelming.... the hope that I had.... the hope that was crushed by the election... the anger at people who voted for *..... the anger at the probable election fraud and the evident voter surpression.... the disgust with the media, the devastation of *'s arrogance.... I have been on such a roller coaster of emotions lately and the past 2 days have been bad. I am so grateful to Senator Kerry for continuing to work for us.

I cried when I saw the pictures of him at the innauguration. I didn't know until then that I still had that much grief inside of me. It's just so unfair! He is the winner of that election and ought to be our president now. The only comforting thought is that he is still there working hard for everything he has always stood for. He stands for the real America, rather than the corporate one which currently owns the White House. He remains my hero.
