Going wide
Edited on Thu Jan-05-06 01:15 PM by Blue_In_AK
A different perspective on the shots I posted of Anchorage in the "getting high" thread. Now downtown is down in the lower right corner. Thanks to ET Awful, I think it was, who recommended this 10-20 lens. It works great up here.

4. I was up a ways...
It's called Glen Alps, on the hillside east of Anchorage. It's a trailhead for numerous trails into Chugach State Park which the cross-country skiers are using this time of year, but it also has this fantastic lookout over the Anchorage bowl. It's one of my favorite places to go for sunsets.

3. No fair
Taking shots from airplanes gives you an unfair advantage.

That's incredible Blue'. I haven't forgot about tellin' you about selling your photos. I need to dig up a link... and it requires that I type a whole shit load of "words"... and you know how well I do with crab...errrr crap like that.... ;-)

5. Hehehe, I STILL haven't gotten one for myself :P
That is such a great lens. I want to see that same shot on a really clear day and see it really shine.

I mean, that shot is gorgeous, but picture it with some of the haze gone so the mountains in the background really POP.

Hehehehe, I'm getting the bug to go get that lens again. . . must resist . . . just purchased new car, can not justify new camera equipment . . . . :grr:
