Introducing myself -- and a few pics (actually more than a few!)

Hi guys, although I'm a long time DU member, I just found this group. I got into photography again a few months ago. Got a camera for an upcoming cruise, just wanted to take some good pics, you know. But then I really, really got into it. Upgraded cameras twice in 2 months. My current still a little modest, an Olympus C7070 "wide zoom", which is nice, but I'm itching to get a DSLR pretty soon.

I agree with WJMS, great pics. Especially like the Rhino and the close up of the kitty. The shot looking down at the water with part of the deck is really cool, but I am not sure why. Again, I am new. Perhaps the tension between the comfortable lounge chairs on the deck and the chaos of the ocean.

Anyway, welcome, hope you have fun, I have been pleased, great group.

You certainly have a talent for looking to get a unique perspective on your shots. Sumtin' I always struggle with and have to remind myself to do. :( Won't go through and reference each photo cause I'm still on my first cup of coffee. :9

All very nice. The critters... the people (love that wide angle taken low)... and even though I never had much of an interest in flowers till this friggin' place hooked me.... awesome purty flowers.

You really have to think about what the hell it is. And the one guy in the red at center helps create a vanishing point effect.
