So. I came up with this B&W technique that I really like
Snapped the same place as a previous one. Didn't like it cause it looked too much like the other one. Sooo.... I started playing around with a new (for me anyway) B&W technique. Nevermind the trees. I know they are a distraction.

Do you like this B&W "style"? If you don't .... piss off...
:hi:

Seriously... does it work for landscapes? I'm itching to get into the high country so I can use this technique. Hope I kept good enough notes so I can replicate it.
:dunce:

1. I like it........................but
it only counts if you share the technique in detail. I really do like it but it is cruel to say "new B&W technique" and say what it was.

2. What??!!! And give away my "secrets"
:wow:

 :dunce:

Basically adjusted/played the yellow cast to even out the color of the rockie thingies on the right side. HIGH contrast. A cup of sugar, 2 cups of flour, a tablespoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg.

3. No Rum? (added on edit)
Edited on Sun Jan-08-06 12:38 AM by CC
Was making Hot buttered rum earlier and you did list some of the ingredients. Thanks for the links, off to follow them now. I haven't had a chance to go out and try the new IF filter yet. Too wet or cold for me.

This photogramerical stuff is soooo complicated. How could I forget the rum?

Come to Colorado. It was like 70 today. Sunny. Would be perfect for doing IR. I finally got my B&W film now I'm waiting on my color slide stuff (from NJ/PA) .... and I'll be dead before I see my Infrared developed.

8. Very pretty...
Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods. I like the luster in the highlights. I don't understand a word of what you said about how you did this, but I it's a really pleasing photo.
