RAW and uncut...
I did it!! I didn't blow up my camera!! Here's another view of Anchorage, first as it came out of the camera and second after I fixed the RAW image ... no PSP yet. (Sorry about the size.) This wasn't so hard after all. And, F. Gordon, I think I got the dust off the sensor, but with your sharp eye maybe you'll double check for me.

1. I still feel guilty about that
I'm not a pixie sucker...it was just that your sensor dirty spots really stood out on that one photo and I wanted you to be aware of it. Carry a plastic garbage bag with you when you are out and use it to change your lenses. They make these fancy dancy things but a garbage bag works just as well. Always keep the body of your camera pointed DOWN when you are changing lenses.

That shot is incredibly sharp. Remarkable detail. And see.... the universe wasn't sucked into a black hole, your camera still works..... You're now a RAW virgin.
:applause:

2. Don't feel bad, F.
I really appreciate your pointing that out to me. I opened the camera up this morning and blew a little air in there with the squeezie thing and it seemed to fix it right up. Now that I've done this RAW thing a few times, I feel much more comfortable with it. And thanks for the tip about the garbage bag. I learn something new here every day.

You guys have no idea how paranoid I am about this camera. You'd better be nice to me.

5. Canon only licensed the RAW format for 15 shots per camera
So use it sparingly

9. Glad you took the plunge
into RAW. :bounce::bounce::bounce: It took me longer to take the plunge and I am still sorry it did. There are one or two photos that I would love to have big but they were only jpgs.
