Macro ideas, but not my submission.
Edited on Thu Jan-19-06 04:51 AM by FM Arouet666
Macro was a fun topic, I love this forum. Just an amateur, but I have become more interested with this contest. Any suggestions for texts or photographers which have influenced you? Here are a few shots I took, limited time to consider options. I have been going B&W lately, form over color. Just a phase I suspect. To whoever wins, congrats, but I look forward to the process, who cares who wins, as long as we all learn a few things.

'Cork' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens, edit for grey scale, color of red wine per original photo)

'An Idea' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens)

'Thorn' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens)

'Web' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens)

'Savior' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens)

'Cabernet' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens)

'Screw' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens)

'Chardonnay' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens)

'Anarchy' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens)

'Addiction' (Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens, ouch, real blood)

1. I think I still like the corkscrew the best
Although I do like #3 with the thorns, and the "chardonnay" pic that looks like a face is pretty interesting, too.

But the corkscrew just jumps out at me.

Hmm, drink a lot of wine?

2. Well Done!!
My favorite must be Cabernet!! The cork screw is excellent too! Savior is an excellent concept shot for macro, but not exactly my genre of choice :P

5. Not my genre either.
Why does an atheist collect crosses? I have tons of the things, little religious statues, rosaries, pictures of crosses, a veritable religious overload. I love old churches, the more eerie, cold and musty the better.

3. I like thorn, and it also seems amenable to interesting manipulations.
Use your imagination.

6. Your shots are great.
I can feel that bottom one. They are all very interesting. I really get bored with just the same old pretty pictures. So I hope you continue to post yours. Some of the best I've seen. I agree about who ever wins wins. I just like having the opportunity for others to view a photo of mine.

BTW I really love your avatar. Is that the devil from My Life With The Thrill Kill Cult?
