Protest last night.

I only really like the first two, but the rest are kind of fun.

5. Thanks all
I didn't bring a tripod with me, though I really should have. The crowd was *very* energetic. So, I was shooting a long lense at night with no tripod of an extremely energized target. Most of them got blurred to death :(

I think I'm going to get a better flash. I don't do that much night shooting, but it would be nice to have one when I do.

There's another protest this Saturday I'm going to try to get to. Shooting protests is very fun, and you can get a lot of good pics from them.

6. Damn! I was there too!
I went right from work and didn't have my camera. <kicking myself in the ass> There were some great pictures to be had. In fact on my walk from Union Station to the Capitol I saw dozens of pictures screaming out to be taken (got to go back some evening!). If I had brought my camera I might not have gotten to the protest in time...

I was about three people deep from the front. There were a lot of photographers in the front, is that where you were? You're right, it was an very energized crowd! And loud!! It was a great feeling to look at the Capitol building where Bush was giving the SOTU and be able to scream "Bush Out Now!" at him and his enablers.

Good luck at the demonstration tomorrow. I'll be out of town so I won't be there...

7. I was all over.
I went up to that part of the front for a couple of pictures, but then moved on. I was walking along the concrete bank of the reflecting pool to move back and forth behind the crowd, then just moving into it when I saw an opening.
