I have no idea how to assess February entries against the 'theme'. |

Perhaps it's because I don't understand what's "thematic" about 'lack of color'? I live in a somewhat Euclidean world. When I think "theme" I think that the subject matter is supposed to somehow embody the theme - not that the photo itself merely be (in this case) lacking in color. I've seen contests categorized according to whether the photos were color or black and white, where the theme was embodied in the subject matter. Am I hopelessly confused? (I guess so.) :shrug:

thinking it.:) It could be black and white or a color shot that has no color (black on black, white on white, duo-tone, sepia etc.). I looked at it as one that made you notice the light and lines in a pic. Remember we are mainly amateurs doing this for fun. Notice the prize for the winner can also be a punishment.:rofl:
