1. Is this a regular kinda sight up in your parts?

...makes one wonder where exactly that yard is... and what exactly is for sale?!?

There's so much going on in this photo its hard to take it all in! The color is a nice addition to the cold snowy backdrop... did you tweak the colors at all? Very nice photo though :-)

2. This is in Homer

where I took the eagle pictures. There's a strip of land that protrudes into Kachemak Bay called the Homer Spit which looks like this in nicer weather. (This is a Chamber of Commerce photo, by the way, not mine.)



There's all kinds of interesting stuff out there, old wrecked boats like the one in my picture, the eagles, a few monuments, some really rowdy bars, fishing charters, and a great hotel clear at the end. In the summer a lot of the fish people - known as "Spit rats" - set up little tents on the beach where they live for the season. It's very atmospheric. Homer's a cool little town of about 4,000 people, I would guess, with generally very liberal politics.

As for the color, I tweaked it just a little to get rid of the gray tone in the original.
