I'll have to watch. Are they talking about how everybody but the eagle lady has to stop feeding them, and she has to stop, too, by 2010? She's old so she may not be around that long. I'm sure it won't hurt the bird population down there, though, because there's just so much for them to eat, even without being fed. We see eagles all over the place, just not in such concentrations as are down there.

2. They talked about that. and that |
|
people do shoot at them. Also about pets being stolen from yards by the eagles. Though have to say that when I took the ferrets out it was one at a time and I keep an eye out for the red-tailed hawk pair. Brought the ferrets in when I saw them come out for dinner. Also had how a lot of people like the eagles there, how photogs loved taking their pics. They did a pretty good job of telling both sides, at least from here. You can let me know if it leaned more to one or the other side. They did show the eagle lady too.

4. No, that was very "fair and balanced." |

I'm just glad that they're letting the eagle lady continue on with what she does since it means so much to her. With the gradual phasing back of the feeding, the eagles probably won't have much trouble returning to life without the free handouts. And, of course, they only are there in the winter, so it's not like they've completely lost their skills. Did you recognize the big piece of driftwood that they were roosting on from my photographs?

5. I recognized the whole story from |

your photos. lol I was cleaning and a blip of an ad came on about Eagles taking over an AK town. Glanced and swore it was your photo in video. Specially so soon after your pics I just knew it was Homer and made sure I watched. Good top know it really was fair. I thought so but you never know what can be left out. I think the eagles will be fine (well except for removing them from the endangered species list. They are pretty smart and losing it over time will help. I am betting the "eagle lady" will find out how she can help them adjust too. You just don't care that much and not worry about their future.
