June photo contest TOPIC poll...

Thanks, all of you, for your great suggestions for next month's contest. We actually ended up with more than 10 choices, so I arbitrarily picked two out of Bvar22's five suggestions. I thought Abandoned/Forgotten might be too similar to "old stuff" and "Night Moves" could be subsumed into the "After Dark" category.

So here goes. I'll leave this up for a few days until it looks like everyone's had a chance to vote and a clear winner has emerged.

On Edit: The "popular photo" thing has a shopping cart in it that I can't figure out how to remove and I don't want to go through that again. :eyes: If someone can figure it out... go for it. I'll have to ask someone at smugmug how to fix this. Until then I removed it from the home page.

Don't forget to remove your lens cap, insert the flash card, charge the batteries and may all your photographs be wonderful.

I think I'll keep this poll up until Sunday evening and then take the top two for the instant run-off. They're just too close - unless one breaks out by more than three or four in the next couple of days. I've got a little time to play with here, so ... I like your idea.

I watched the ads for about half a day, then downloaded AdBlock Plus. I then installed same on Nancy's computer. I'm all for DU making money and the admins becoming rich - they deserve it - but the ads are just a bit too creepy for my taste. I like my internets commercial-free. (Heh heh.)

19. I like "A View Through" because it offers the possibilites

of so much in terms of depth of field.
Looking through a rock formation to a scene beyond, through a window to a view inside somewhere, through a spider web to view a flower...so many ways to take cool photos.
