It was a fluke of good luck to get the Art Deco building in the side view mirror. :)

Am still undecided re: which photo to enter...am leaning toward the Hoover Dam one

Seriously, I love the Mourning Dove nest, mainly because of the strong lines of the palm fronds contrasting with the tangled mass of the nest. Nice color palette, too!

7. I like the carribean doorway shot best.
Great colors and texture! I also really like the bird shot; not for the portals contest, but again, great color and texture. Least favorite? The shot out the car window.
