1. What kind of flower is that?
Whatever. It's a beautiful photo, although slightly errotic. (But maybe that's just me.)

2. Most of my pictures are from bike rides.
I have been riding through the forest and finding plants that I've never seen. That doesn't mean they're rare, but they might be. I'm bothered by decreasing diversity. And think about what diversity there once was. Still, there is so much to be seen. I don't know what this plant is. The orange juice flower?

3. Beautiful colors, love the dew.
We have another shared interest.....bicycles. :)

How do you carry the new camera on your bike?

4. I'm using a Camelbak.
I have been riding trails behind my property on my mountain bike. I forget the size of Camelbak, but it's one of the larger sizes. And even that hardly handles the camera, with spare tires, etc.

Here's a shot of the road that the trail comes off of. It's pretty awesome. My first love was road riding. But I've since moved far from my favorite roads on the SF penninsula. I want to blab, but I'm in a race to clean up my house before the realtors show up. YIKES!

7. Of course.
Look at your lurkage. That's impressive.

For the most part, this is a really beautiful area. Come on by!

8. I thought it was a kind of lily, but
this is the kind of tiger lily I'm familiar with. (This isn't my photo, I just found it on the net.)

Is the one in the OP a wild variety?

10. Oh cool!
That's perfect. I was happy just observing what is in my own yard. I haven't seen half of those flowers on that site you posted. I am so amazed by the beauty and diversity of what comes out of the ground.

I just realized there's another weird red puffball that isn't on that list. But it's not really a flower. Time to take more pictures. (:
