I heard a commotion outside and found
Edited on Fri Jul-21-06 02:34 PM by Maestro
this bird flying around quite frantically with a grasshopper in its mouth.

The bird flew down to a Chinese Yoppon. I walked over and it quickly scampered to the Crepe Myrtle.

That is when I noticed the mouth to feed in the Yoppon.

Apparently there was a mockingbird bothering these guys that was causing all the commotion earlier.

2. It's that time of year!
I love these "documentaries" we've been doing here.

Last night I thought I heard a bird inside. No. So I went into the other room where my cat, Bart, was sitting there next to a very disoriented bird on the floor. It was a swallow. So I brought it outside and after a while he flew away. I watched as he soared around all happy. I decided to be decent and not take pictures.

What fun.

3. That looks like 3 mouths to feed.
How cute.

4. You are correct.
I actually climbed up on a ladder for that shot.
