1. Love tractors
My girlfriend's family has a farm in Virginia. Great spot. Every time we're out there we get put to work, last time I got to drive the Kubota. :)

Funny exchange, sorta. Her dad was born in the UK. At this family reunion, some good-old-boy gave him a hard time about buying a Kubota... "Can't believe you bought that jap junk."

Long pause. "Well, I got nothin' against the japs. 'Twasn't the japs that bombed me, it was the krauts!" :D

3. Ha! I gave my dad a hard time for buying Kubota junk.
Actually, Kubota has a bunch of models, some pretty stout.

I live on this tractor. It's indespensable. If I start with my stories, I'll never stop, and bore you to death. But I've mostly used this backhoe tractor in very mountainous properties. I've learned how to navigate very steep slopes. I've also flipped it over twice. And I've broken everything and repaired everything at least twice. But I love it. I just did the clutch (again). That's a couple of weeks of work.

I've been lucky. I went on a property journey, and got a sampling of every kind of place along the west coast. Ranch, farm, etc. I'm getting ready to move on again. I'm trying to get close to Arcata, which is the first city in America to pass an impeachment resolution. Arcata is great!
