The future of World Cup soccer...
We attended my 4-year-old grandson's final soccer game of the season last night. He's the littlest one on the team, but what he lacks in size, he makes up for in enthusiasm. These kids are so cute, I couldn't stop taking pictures.

SCORE!

Chillin' on the sidelines. I love the expressions.

Colton loves his coach - or "my toach" as he calls him. So cute...

2. And she says she can't do people
shots.:hide: These are adorable and very good. Though I did have to look close at 6, wondered if granny taught him to flip off anyone mentioning *. Look at all that personality that shows through. BTW only the one girl has knees showing. At first I thought they had long johns on under those uniforms. It has been a long while since I saw the little ones play and had to remember most of their knees were covered here too. Long socks and shorts big enough to grow into.

I love the darker background in your pictures. How did you do that?

5. The borders?
Thats a photoshop button.. frames.

I just click it and choose a color and add in type.. I think it gives it a more polished look, a pixel mat if you will

6. No, not the borders....
Just the way your little people stand out so clearly against the darker background. Was it late afternoon or something or is there forest behind the soccer field? I just like the way the kids are contrasted so well.

7. Ah ... yes

It was late afternoon camp is from 6pm to 8pm.

I keep the sun behind me

Otherwise i'm all squinty and blowing them out. I have a few that border on over cooked but I turned my ISO on sunny, even with that sun behind me it's very bright.

Its a Nikon D70, that I am soon to be trading for a D100

2 different lens..and 2 different cameras though you couldn't tell them apart. the bottom photo of my daughter (just the face) is Nikkor 70-210mm 1:4 is shot with the d70 as is the trainer shot with the head ball (my daughters coach, and he's even english!)

the other is shot with my husbands d200 and his 180mm 1:2.8 with a converter so it's expanded to almost a 300mm

To be honest I much prefer my little d70 the buffer is bigger on the d200 it shoots faster but given it's weight and size of the lens I had many soft photos. It's like trying to shoot a gun, the barrel keeps hitting you in the shoulder

9. Tell me about it. I've spent many great afternoons/evenings with
... close friends and family watching their kids/grandkids playing soccer. It's (imho) the best sport for kids of all ages. Boys and girls both seem to have far more fun with it than any other sport and every one of them gets a chance to have one or two "special" plays that light up their faces. Maybe it's my imagination, but it seems they get a lot more chance to play (instead of sit on the bench) and have far less opportunity to cry.

10. That's true...
I don't know how they do it where you are, but here with the little ones like Colton, they put them out three at a time (three on three) and rotate them after about 10 minutes or so. The older kids Sage's age go in four at a time and are rotated about as often. And they do all have a great time.

11. After the game: A bath, a meal, and maybe a nap so the parents can
have a short vacation, blissful silence, and maybe a nap for themselves.
