Some action shots of sparrows
These aren't that great and of the hundred or so pics these are the only ones that are worth anything.

I noticed yesterday a ton of birds in the back field flying around feeding on the insects so I decided to get some action shots. They were all sparrows.

Those blurry dots are the sparrows.

I had to switch to manual mode after this because the autofocus just wouldn't focus on the small bird.

Skimming along for insects

Pretty wing

Gave up and didn't get an insect this time around so this sparrow headed back to the trees.

About this time a pesky mockingbird showed up. Can we say bird on a wire?

Then in the trees I captured this sparrow coming in for a landing.

Perched

He was actually with a friend.

All the exif data can be seen here at my photo site. http://Maestros.smugmug.com/gallery/691094/13/83758343

Thanks for looking.

1. Barn Swallows
I recognize them because I have a few around my house, the chase the local falcon (go figure no one said birds were smart). Funny enough the falcon doesn't seem to mind, they are like fleas to it.

I like the 3rd one down.. can you crop it in and close it up a bit?

6. It was already cropped and closed up a bit.
I could try to again but I think it really starts to pixelate.

2. Nice! This kind of thing is tough to shoot. Camera movement,
subject movement and a long lens makes for a difficult shot. Favorite is fourth down, "Pretty wing" and "in for a landing has no flies on it either.
