Bvar22, wasn't it you
who was the mushing enthusiast? I don't know if you were aware or not, but Susan Butcher succumbed to leukemia yesterday after a very brave fight over the past several months.. Alaskans are definitely in mourning today; she was a remarkable woman.

2. I almost got into it
with some people in GD who were accusing her of cruelty to her dogs. There was a never a person alive who loved her dogs more than Susan did. She was absolutely the best, and everybody here knows that. It pisses me off when people from Ohio who don't know anything about Alaska or the Iditarod - or Susan Butcher for that matter - want to make those kind of remarks the day after she died. No class.....

3. No...though I have a great respect for Iditarod.
I've seen Susan on TV several times, and there is no doubt that she loved her dogs.

4. Maybe it was Robb...
Whoever it was and I were tag-teaming some PETA types last February about the Iditarod. Of course, nobody's mind got changed, but it was a good argument anyway.

sometimes people talk and don't know what they are talking about. She will be missed.
