Poll question: And yet another evil help pick my texture poll.
Edited on Fri Aug-11-06 05:37 PM by CC
Haven't had much time to shoot so hit the yard for a texture shots. Using F.Gordon rules here, I may or may not use the photo with the most votes. I may or may not use one of these photos. Critiques welcomed. I may or may not be able to re-shoot some with critiques/ideas/suggestions in mind. Thanks.

#1 Snake plant blooms

#2 Zinnia

#2 Spider Web

#4 Moon Flower

#5 Calla

#6 Rusty Chime

1. Beautiful, CC
I picked the moonflower. I guess I'm going to have to get a poll together, too.

2. I voted zinnia but I liked the rusty chime too for texture.
I like the spider web too, but I don't get a strong feeling of the texture of it as I do the other two. (I can't explain that logically; it's just the feel I get.)

5. Thanks, I like some better than others but
the bear chime is the only one that seems to mention texture to me. I rarely try to get spider webs but this one with the sun hitting it so it had some rainbow colors was a do not pass up. Good thing because it was taken out by a bird later.

3. All beautiful photos
But none of them really say "texture" to me.

6. I have to agree with you on none
really screaming texture. Any is more an after thought after looking through them again, We ll maybe not the bear:shrug:. That is why I did the poll. I am stump on ideas these days and want to not use a pet if possible. Though I do have a few ferret pics with tongues out it is hard to see the semi cat tongue texture on them. The lory with the funky tongue would rather bite me than pose for a pics.

So any suggestions?

7. I voted for #1...
...because, although most of the shots struck me as more an exploration of form than texture, that was the only one where the form was so complex, it became like a texture.

8. I voted for the bear chime.
I love the flowers, but they all look soft. When I think texture, I think bumpy. Besides, I like the bear chime, and also the suggested texture of the tree bark in the background. :)

9. Spider Web
Because I have an intense interest in spiders and insects, (some friends consider this fascination a bit morbid... :D ), and because I know it can be difficult to have the right light to get such a great shot.

If anyone walked into that web, they would definitely feel the texture... :yoiks:

All wonderful photos!
