I've heard so many good things about Costa Rica, but I've been told that the trust fund babies have "discovered" this country and driven up the prices of Real Estate.
Love these unique butterfly shots but I'd love to see some landscape photos. You live in a beautiful country and I'm definitely going down there in the next year or two. I just hope I don't like it tooo much.
Thanks for sharin' these. That clear wing fella' (fella'rette??) is waaaaaay awesome. You didn't break its wingee things did you when you picked it up?

4. i'm sure there are a lot of trust fund babies here..... |
|
....but i don't live near them. they tend to stay in the pricier areas along the beaches (probably in guanacaste) with more people like themselves. i like to stay out of areas that have gotten overrun with gringos and stay in tico areas instead....hell, i left the states to get away the waspy folks. the only gringos i like to see down here are the eco-tourists and the conservation minded ones that come down here to buy land to preserve it.
i'll have to work on doing some nice landscape photos.
we released the clearwing unharmed right after photographing it.
