Me time. I visit a couple of my Zen Places
Spent a little time last week and today visiting a couple of my Zen Places. Places I go to several times a year. Just walk around with camera and cleanse the mind. I’m coming up on Crunch Time so you won’t have me to kick around for awhile. :) Biz demands and there’s this little election coming up that Ms F’ and myself have to work.

So...fire up the bong... chug a box of wine... sniff some glue... do whatever ya' need to do to get through these pics.
:smoke:

First thing I noticed on day one was that it was Harvest Time and the light was changing. This is the best time of year for light IMHO.

It was time to clean the windows and prepare the home for Winter.

And organize all your tools for those Winter projects and so you can help out CC and HullBoss with their remodeling projects.

Oops. Sorry. My bad. I can’t help myself. I liked the shadows when I saw this and just got caught up in the processing. One thing led to another.

Other than a trip up to get the Aspens (hopefully) today was going to be my last outing for awhile. I went to one of my favorite places. It’s in the heart of the Denver metro area. It’s near a large park with bikers and joggers. Ya’ just need to ignore the “stay out” signs and go over the fence and you’re in a peaceful place. Quiet. No peeps. First thing I noticed was a bunch of kewl flowers still hanging in there.

I’m not the only one who likes this place. On a tree stump someone had arranged this little tree/rock art piece. From a distance I thought it was shrooms’ :9

The river that runs along this place was especially nice today. I found a shaded area and got this snap.

On my way out I saw this. The sunlight was poking through the trees shining right on it. I intentionally underexposed this. It might be hard to see in a small web version but if you look closely you can see “natures fiber optics”. Check out the prism effect. The colors.

Tomorrow my life is no longer my own. Things to do. Places to go. Elections to win.
:patriot: :hi:

1. Wow, these are great.
Camera, what is a camera I forget. Zen, would that be a foreign thing? At least here.
I love 1.6 and 8 the most. Just a smidgen more than all the rest. Would love to see 8 big if you say small is missing stuff. Great catch.
I have cabinets up in the nook.:bounce: A wall gone.:bounce::bounce:New Appliances are here. Feeling like there is an end to this crazy undertaking. Go order/put a down payment on the counter top tomorrow. :bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce: I guess I will have to remember what that thing called a camera is for soon.

2. Beautiful!!
I think my blood pressure just lowered considerably, and I feel oddly at peace.

Thank you for these!

5. Thanks all. Really appreciate all the kind words
:hi:

One more before I shut my eyes for a few hours. A water reflection. Nature truly is an amazing artist...

That's all for now. So many snaps... so little time.

7. Love 'em all, but this one really does it for me
The colors would make Monet jealous.

Fine set of photographs all round.

Good luck with everything you have going!:toast:

9. You've been messing around with LAB Color, haven't you...?

;-)

(I'm about halfway through the library's copy of Marguiles's book, and am about to buy a copy myself.)

I suspect you have, because of the extra color in shots like your reflection.

All wonderful, wonderful images.

Now, get out there and elect some more Democrats!

8. Gorgeous pictures.
Thank you for sharing these; and I especially like the little stone sculpture somebody made. I'm always surprised to find these things here and just love it. And the river picture reminds me of the opening scene of the (original) "Solaris" movie.
