I had hoped to get the thread up announcing the winners of the Autumn photo contest up tonight. Unfortunately, due to work and the crazy difficulty of dealing with our different schedules, made more difficult by living on opposite sides of the country (with the time difference), it does not look like it will be up before tomorrow afternoon/evening. I am sorry and hope you will forgive me.

In order to make amends, I post the following photo of one of my sisters. Please enjoy.

3. I believe that the general rule and custom is that you MUST post

a thread here announcing the results only AFTER the voting is completed. So far, you (both) are in perfect compliance with past practice. We (here) all (mostly) live in the laid back

Great hosting, and seeing twice the Lounge totals in votes (and Views, presumably) is great. My earlier concerns that GDers might see the contests as an intrusion seems to have been totally unwarranted. Quite the contrary.

And, to repeat, Every photo was judged to be the "best" by several viewers. The final ranking gives a deserved thumbs up to a few of "the best" but, as usual, they all rock!
