What's on your Xmas wishlist?
I hope Santa brings me the telephoto I've been wanting.

I've been extra good this year. Really. :)

1. I'd settle for criminal charges against Bush and Cheney
and getting the troops out of Iraq.

Since I won't get those, uh, a new computer would be nice.

Carrying a brand new D80, which I'm really liking more the more I use it. Really like the speed of it, the large viewfinder, the good exposure, the big LCD, the high ISO performance. Here's another example:

I'm selling my D70s and needed a few shots for it. This is at ISO 1250! I know you Canon guys have been enjoying noise-free high ISO shots for years, but it's new to me so I'm excited.

The only thing I'll probably add now is another lens, but that will be after Christmas. I've been eyeing the new Sigma 50-150 f/2.8. I think that will match up well with my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 that I use all the time. Those two lenses will be a good "walking around" pair.

21. Home of the banana slugs! Wonderful town! (I miss living in Los Gatos.)
There's no place on earth (except perhpas Tahiti) I'd rather live than that area. My fondest dream (if I were to win the lottery) would be to have a home on Lovers Point in Pacific Grove.

15. Wow, that really sucks
The Alps in winter. Bummer! :eyes:

That complaint reminds me of my good friend Lori, who is a gym instructor. She's tiny, 102 lbs, size 0. One day in class she was complaining that sometimes size 0 is too big for her, that she has to buy some clothes at Kid's Gap because she can't find adult clothes small enough for her. Afterwards I told her, "You know, Lori, no one feels sorry for you. Not a single person."

just wish they had snow on them. Hopefully tomorrow? Global warming is taking its toll on the ski areas this year.

I just posted more about my situation in the Lounge. Not looking for a handout, just needed to get it off my chest.

This really sucks right before Christmas. As an independent contractor myself, I understand completely where you're coming from.
