Terry brought the flu home with him from WI...sigh. He even took off work which he never ever does, not even when he was going through chemo. Poor man has to join the rest of us humans in feeling miserable. I am fighting it off with Vit. C and zinc but bet I am sick for xmas. Luckily no small children to worry about here these day so I can stay in bed all day with ferrets and cats warming my feet and hope the ferrets don't get it.

Although... I'm without a license thing again for this contest so I'm at risk of being sued for billions of dollars. :eyes:

ONE of the reasons we quit going back to Iowa over the holidays. I would get sick every damn time. You both have the flu? Major bummer. Brandy.... it won't cure what ails you but you'll forget why you started drinking it if you drink enough.

Been falling apart recently round' the ol' F'Troop as well. Trying to get Ms F' into Natl Jewish but it can take up to two months. I'm facing the reality that I can't put off my surgery any longer plus I have to go the see the dentist in the am for some painers and have him tell me that I have to remove yet another tooth. And with our fantastic :eyes: health insurance..... It's definitely cheaper just to die in this country.

Getting old sucks. Really sucks.

5. Hmmm you sound like us.

I may be getting my throat cut in Jan, well I will be getting my throat cut (thyroid removed) it is the Jan that is maybe. Well surgery, anesthesia :scared: so know the feeling. Aging does suck, though remind myself the alternative is worse. One day I will find time when I am awake enough to not make a fool of myself to email you. I am fighting the flu, big time. Do not have it full blown yet but then Ter only brought it home last Thursday. Told him to pick better guest next time.

As to the contest disclaimer, maybe post it to get people to agree? We (those that knew it was needed) forgot to tell Jhain to add it. Sorry. I don't think people will sue you for the millions you don't have.:evilgrin:

6. Blue, if you're going to be in charge of collecting oks

you might want to also get oks to post the contest entries on the smugmug site once its over (the contest license thingie).

I had been thinking about the logistics of getting consent after the fact since we've missed the license two months in a row (which means no permanent home post contest for these beau tie). My thought of a relatively easy way of collecting oks was to post a thread with messages captioned with the names of each of the entrants and to use the OP to post the license and to ask each entrant to consent by replying to the message that has their name in it. If we're good little girls and boys we might gather most of the consents without anyone having to track too many folks down...

(I couldn't do this until this evening, otherwise I'd volunteer.)

BTW - I am fine with my entry being part of the blog and going to the permanent contest galleries, post contest.

13. New Year's Eve...

Big party downtown, ice sculptures, skaters, a blues band, fire jugglers, fireworks, tons of happy people. I'm really looking forward to it. The next thing after that is the Fur Rendezvous and then the Iditarod.
