You guys need to put together a calendar! |
|
I just saw the December winners, and I think you guys need to put together a calendar. I know I'd buy a few. There is amazing talent here, and I'm sure DUers would buy a calendar printed at a union shop made out of your work.

1. It'd be easier to herd 100 cats from Denver to Dallas |

I'm sure there are a few here that do their own Calendars. Maybe they'll PM you. But... that whole "printed at a union shop" thing? Might be a problem if that's your criteria.
It's a good idea but it would never happen unless it was a "for free" thing. If profit is involved it will never happen.
There's an Urban Legend of a Book that was printed round' here once that was "for free". Totally free. As the Myth goes... that didn't sit well with some fictional character and the whole thing never happened. Well, it was a Legend so the happening never happened because it couldn't happen since it was totally a non-happening event. Never happened.
Thanks for suggesting it though. It's a great "idea". :hi:

Knitty.com has a calendar from the members of the messageboard. This year is their second one, and it sells rather well. Why wouldn't ours sell well when we have way more members?

NanceGreggs had a similar idea, but done as a fundraiser for and by DU, including photos, poetry, prose, maybe artwork by DUers. This is something she's going to try pitching to the admins.

That is a wonderful Holiday present to us all.
I uploaded a bunch of photos to one of the hosting sites- I forget which one- webshots , I think - they all use the same calendar software = Qoop- and made one with my photos for my mom and my daughter. Turned out very well. Cost about $15.00. And, I think Staples will do this if you take them a disc...might be cheaper.
This is a great idea!
