Oh, my God, look what Santa brought me for Christmas!

It's the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens

and after I told him that all I wanted for Christmas was a vacuum cleaner. (I got the Dyson, too.) I've got the best husband in the world. :)

1. Hullboss knows you take
great pics, even when you aren't too sure. Give him a hug from me and tell him I said "Way to go." Now you, get to snapping with that thing. Oh and do not complain that he got you to much, just give him a kiss and say thank you, and give him your love.

2. That's one of my two favorites
It's an excellent lens. You wouldn't immediately think so, but it's really great for casual walk-around shooting. The 70mm end is only a little more than the 50mm "normal" and the 200mm end gives you nice zoom-in capability. The IS is superb, and of course it's fast.

It is a bit on the heavy side. :)

3. You're right about the heavy...
I already feel my arms throb. :) But I need the exercise, and I think I'm going to have a great time with this. I can't wait to get out into the wilds and give it a workout.

5. I assume you mean the lens?
Or did you get a Dyson, too? :) I can't wait to go after the cat hair in the carpet, but I'm even more excited to get out and take some nature shots with the new glass.

11. I took a few shots of the sunrise this morning,
just off my doorstep because I didn't have time to go somewhere more picturesque, but they looked great. I've got some work to finish up before Wednesday, but after that I'm definitely going out shooting. It's so beautiful here with the snow, and now I won't have any problems with the low light. I'm so stoked.

12. Holy Ron Jeremy Lens Batman !!
Hullboss is one fine dude... and I'm reading that 48%er got one of these too?
:wow:

I got boxer shorts and socks. Actually... we were going to skip xmas again this year but we decided to do a little gift thing and Ms F was awesome. I never realized that she was listening when I'd mention "problems" and such that I was having. She jotted down all my crap.. went into camera store.. showed camera guy what I had... told him what I snapped... and she really surprised me.

Ya' just got yourself a dynamite (does that date me by saying that?) lens. I think Hullboss is a keeper.
Have fun with it!!!
:hi:
