Food Photos
Post your food photos here! I'm a chef and so is my brother. These are his creations when I went to visit him at his new restaurant. One of these dishes was featured in Food & Wine magazine -- his partner was one of the Best New Chefs for 2002.

5. From my Halloween party
Edited on Wed Jan-05-05 11:31 AM by SiouxJ

I made the cake by combining two bunt cakes. I know it's hard to tell, but those are "deviled eggs" (per Martha Stewart ;-) ) on the plate. I like how the lighting came out in this photo. I also like the twilight sky outside the window. I only had a few seconds to get out the tripod and snap some photos before the guests arrived but I'm very pleased with the results, considering my haste. If you look closely, you can even see a scary demon figure outside the window. ;-)

I know, I know. You probably wanted me to be scared!

Love the cake idea: very clever. Will try that next year.

no, I thought the same thing. It has a nice warm feel. I had plenty of scary stuff outside in the yard and in a few bedrooms ;-) .

I like your pepper photo too! It has a different type of warm feel. Reminds me of fall in the Southwest.

9. Here's a basket of peppers
I grew about 10 of these pepper plants this last
gardening season. I took the seeds from a pepper
my husband buys for cooking. I think it might be
some type of Indian pepper. They are small peppers
when you buy them. I, however, put four bags of
compost into the raised bed and my peppers grew to
about six times thesize of the ones in the store.

The plants themselves were five feet tall!
