We Like Da Moon
Earlier this month, we experienced a rarity here in Seattle...a full moon perfectly positioned so that, when viewed from West Seattle, it would be rising above the city skyline...on a clear night.

:wow:

Needless to say, there were lots of tripods set up at Seacrest Park that evening, despite sub-freezing temperatures (when wind-chill was factored in).

4. I've seen dozens of shots of the skyline/waterfront from that vantage.
Almost a cliche, but nothing like these. Great work. I like #6 even tho it lacks the moon. Just arch art revealed.

5. These are very nice.
I've given up on the moon. Every time I try to take its picture, it's totally blown out (unless it's not dark yet). Do you have a secret?

7. The general rule
that corresponds to the "sunny f/16" rule (if a sunny day and you have no light meter, set the aperture to f/16 and the shutter speed to 1/FilmSpeed, is the Loony F/11 rule. The principle is just that the light reflected back from the moon is 1/2 as bright as that lighting this planet. For more. check out http://dpfwiw.com/moon.htm#full_moon

8. Those are spectacular
I can't decide which one I like best. I think I like the last 3 best, I like the deep blue of them I think. But they're all just great.
