Today was owl day... 2 decent shots

This poor guy was getting attacked by 8-10 crows for about an hour. This was the only shot I got of the physical contact, it was tough to catch.

And here is another owl giving me a wink.

1. Wonderful shots
About once a year I here a ruckus with the bluejays and crows and I know an owl is perched in my owl tree and being attacked.

My owl tree pretty much bit the dust this year with lightning, but I'm sure they will find a new tree.

I love owls, I know we have alot of them in the nature preserves near my house but they are very shy. Good shot!

4. Wow! Both shots are very cool!
I can't believe you got that one of the crow on the attack.
I love the wink, too. It's like he/she's saying, no problem...I'm used to it.

I had a huge owl in my yard one summer for the day. I think it was on the move, migrating north, and just stopped to rest...not. The poor thing was harassed all day by a number of different birds. It didn't seem to impress the bird, though. He/she didn't move until evening. It was the noisiest day in my yard, I ever remember.

6. FLuky thing too... 2 in one day
My next victim is a big heron, but every single time I get a shot lined up, off he flaps. He is really starting me to piss me off.
