1. yeah, it's neat
but a bit hyperactive. profile pictures don't need the overlay button.

It works with google image search, too

2. I always found flickr
kinda cluncky to get around. I think the grandkid is gonna flip watching her set of pics using the slide show. I like this one better than the one flickr has.

3. I have used it for a while, frankly
it annoys me, it always seems to activate when I am trying to click something else.

4. Not only cool, but extremely useful for image searches.
Thank you for the link. On first use I went back to an old and repeatedly failed search effort. There is a photo of a village in Afghanistan where the intra-village rivalries and mutual distrust have over the years reached such a level that it is revealed in the absolutely unique architecture. I was sent a link during the plans for a US invasion but the trusty old Amiga computer went down and I lost the link, if it still exists.

So I have looked over and again using everything from possible keywords to brute force scanning of everything brought up under "Afghanistan." No luck ever. So I used PicLens. The results, sadly, were no different on Google (I can try some other collections later), but it was, I don't know, maybe 1000 times more efficient at searching through the zillion pix Google Images has under that search term.

Very, very fast. And the 3-high wall of photos is very easy to scan/glide through if one has a particular image in mind. It is by far the best interface for such searches I have seen. By Far.

There may be some downside. I've just now installed it as a Firefox add-on. But so far I am extremely impressed.
