Ice bowling, snowshoe softball and some dogs
The ice bowling was behind the Peanut Farm sports bar and grill where we had a great breakfast and enjoyed viewing the bowlers from our window before we went outside to watch.

Excellent form

Low-tech pin setters

After that we headed over to the ball fields for some snowshoe softball. We were a little early, but luckily the fields are right by the dog mushing trail, so we watched a few teams on their way out from downtown on the third heat of the World Championship sprint sled dog races.

Finally, the softball players are geared up.

Here's the way it's done...

And here's the way it's not...

I haven't been on a pair of skis in decades, and even then they were just X-country. I'm way too timid and worried about my bodily safety to go in for that downhill stuff.
