I went to a local rookery recently in downtown Dallas no less.

The Great Egrets were the only ones there except for a fly-by by five anhingas. Here are some images in very windy conditions.















I wish some of the shots were cleaner but you have to take what you are given. I expect the cattle egrets and little blue herons to show up soon.

7. I sure will.
Spring is always good in my area of Texas. I get a lot more migrants during Spring Migration than during Fall Migration. I am not sure why.

Here are a few from last year. I have posted the little blue heron before, but I have never posted the cattle egret with chicks.
