Thank you for sneaking in the camera, sweetie!

And just where have you been? I have missed you in the Lounge...

It just isn't the same without you, you know...

Thanks for posting these...

2. Oh Hi There, Peg!!
Yeah, I pop in the lounge once in a while. Been mostly really busy with our work and new clients. So we get to move amongst large segments of the country, Northern California I should say i.e. wine country, gold country, Central Valley, pretty much all of N. Cal, some of Oregon, and Tahoe...I know I know, its a lousy job but someone has to do it ;)

It's not really like DU out there. No where near the potential for claustrophobia. There's so many more people still smiling, shaking hands, saying, "Hi" back when you say hi to them. And allot of people trying to get by. So the egos and the arguments here in GD: P, for instance, seem very silly & pointless to me by the time I get home but here's the deal...

You'd love that veteran's retirement facility up here in Yountville. Very peaceful, it's good for the old boys. I'm glad you like the pics. All my best to you & your lovely family

:hi:  :loveya: :pals:

3. Very nice, Bridgit!
Ah, the Lincoln Theater, been to many a ballet performance and choir/band performance there over the years, as each of my daughters grew up.

Aren't the grounds at the Vet's Home gorgeous?! They built that place for Union veterans after the Civil War (or, the War of Northern Aggression to some of you guys out there in etherland). That is where the Valley really starts getting nice, from there north.

I worked in that valley for over 30 years, and grew up there as well.

It has changed somewhat over the years...

I commute Mondays and Tuesdays over to Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, and the hills and weather are wonderful; everything is still green, mustard and flowers blooming...enjoying it before our emerald hills turn dry brown...

Edit: ...speeling... :dunce:

7. Yep...green and brown...
my wife was just yesterday bemoaning the fact that the hills around us are begining to turn.

Ah, well...I also enjoy tremendously the smell of oak trees and dry field grass on a hot valley or Sierra foothills night. Reminds me of spending time with my grandparents during the Summer up in San Andreas...

I also know Pena Adobe well...I'll be doing a review on their little museum there in a few weeks.
