This has been one long winter. :( And more snow predicted tomorrow. I've already seen a few ducks flying over, but I sure don't know where they're hanging out. It must be disappointing coming all this way and then seeing this...

I think you are surrounded by some fantastic scenery; it must be a real blessing to live there, even if the milder seasons are short.

That shot actually reminds me of the Mt. lassen area, east of Redding.

2. This is Westchester Lagoon, which is kind of on the outskirts

of downtown Anchorage. In the summer it's full of nesting water fowl, and even has a family of beavers. HullBoss and I alternate our evening walks on the coastal trail, going west one week and east the next. This is our east week. We really are lucky to have the trail within walking distance of our home.
