FLOWERS! At last.
The trollius is finally blooming, and on a rare sunny day last week I got a chance to to shoot them using my new 17-40 L lens that HullBoss gave me for our fifth anniversary. I can't wait for the road trips with this baby. :) I am SO spoiled.

2. How long will you have flowers?
Or was this a late spring/summer? I know we've had a very weird spring, it's going to be bad weather this week too. I was wondering if you guys had a cold spring too, or whether you always have to wait until June for flowers.

4. We'll have flowers until September
and the little violas sometimes last into October, but this has been a very late spring compared to some past years. The two feet of snow on April 27th set us back, and then it's just been kind of gray and cool all this month. We've only gone above 60 maybe three or four days. I remember years like this back in the '70s, but throughout most of the '90s it was warming up by early May. Now we're back to the cool stuff again, I'm not sure why.

3. Glad to hear that spring
sprung in your area! Hmmmm road trip with your new 17-40 L lens? I'm thinking we're all going to enjoy that trip.

5. We're heading down to Homer
this weekend, and my husband and all my brothers (my oldest brother is visiting from Florida) are going out halibut fishing Monday, so hopefully we'll be filling the freezer as well as getting some nice photos. I'm only hoping that it clears up a little because it's pretty dreary out right now.
