1. My dear jhain!
Wow, these are wonderful...

I especially love the pink blossoms in the third picture!

But all are stunning...

Beautiful close-ups!

Thank you for these...

:hi:

2. Thanks, Peggy!
The 3rd is a perennial sweet pea- and this is the first year it has really taken off. Here's one in bud:

3. Wow. You have PERENNIAL sweetpeas??!
I never heard of such a thing. We're lucky to get ours up and blooming before winter sets in and kills them dead.

5. it was news to me, too!
just found it a few years ago. I have the opposite problem, Blue. Normally we go from cold to hot so darn quickly no kind of sweet pea stands a chance- I always lose them before they can bloom.I think that even though we just endured some of the hottest temps in June on record we did have a rather chilly Spring and it was finally able to get a good start. (Lost all my spinach and arugala, though. ugh)

Or maybe the resident Jack Russell finally killed the voles that were under this sweet pea- that would help! Dog's been a hunting fool, lately. Wish there was a way to get her to stick to rodents and opossums. She's discovered lizards, skinks and snakes this Spring. And, frogs. And, then a real dog must roll in all of these chewed up bloody, smelly things...
