Anyone interested in playing Photograph ABC?

I'll post the first photo, with a theme or subject that starts with A. Then someone jumps on with a B shot (not to be confused with a B movie), then someone else a C shot, and so on. My only rule is that if you answer a letter (B) you skip the next letter (C) before playing again to give others a chance to play.

I think that lens had a back-focusing problem. And it's a shame, because its face in focus (where it was telling me it was focused( instead of further back on the body would have made it a much better photo.

Oh well, that lens broken for good now. Canon 50 mm 1.4 = very fragile to front impacts

Yes, he loves music. He's 3 now, just had his 3rd birthday. Took him a while to figure out that he could ask for something specific, not just "presents". The first thing he asked for was a violin, lol, then he said "lots of music". I can't remember where I posted it, but he's the one that runs "allegro" and "diagio". One of the first times I remember him being captivated by tv was during a Robert Kline special, when some women came out dancing to caribbean music. He couldn't have been over 6 months. She made a point of playing a lot of classical music with him when she was pregnant, I think that's why.

but it's also this little flower, which is also known as "Johnny-Jump-Up." They're very prolific and come up year after year. They're popping up all over my yard and garden.

and pansies, violets, Johnny-Jump-Ups, etc. are different species. According to Wikipedia, there are 400-500 different species in the genus Viola.

125. It's a lovely old farmhouse in the south of France

that we sometimes rent in the summer. I'm not sure my daughter would be happy if she actually had to live there! (too quiet!) In a few weeks we'll be going there again. She only agreed to come if her best friend could come along as well. :-)

I think about it all the now that I have a pouncing dog. It's very hard to get photos of dog-pouncing! This is probably the best I've gotten so far, but it's still nothing compared to your beautiful Lucy shot.

193. It's one of my favorites as well. Here's one showing more of the location.

We had hiked to a lake (Lucy Loves Swimming) and discovered that access to the water was barred by some stinky yellowish grayish biomass stuff. But Lucy then turned into the high grass and began the typical canine critter hunting leap and pounce routine. Got some good height!

Several tries, but this one worked, I think, not only because her head was in focus and such, but because it showed the very intense, concentrated dog-ness of the moment. Zen time.
