Poll question: Calendar theme
Edited on Wed Jul-30-08 07:21 AM by blueraven95
Okay, go at it! Please remember that the theme needs to be something that will hold up for twelve months

*A note: the "non-theme theme" is ConsAreLiars' thought:

"Maybe the theme doesn't even have to be expressed in words. Or can't be. Your suggestion of "hope" is part of it and the other comments suggest other phrases. But what seems to be in common is some way of showing the value of life, the strength of the people, the wholeness of our world. Something positive, something true, and something that asserts the power and beauty that that the monsters continue to try to destroy and devour. Woody Guthrie's "This Land." Beethoven's "Ode to Joy." Helen Reddy's "I am Woman." Ray Charles's "America the Beautiful." "We are the World." Or not all so saccharine - MC5's "Kick out the Jams." Or Lennon's "Power to the People." And the list goes on."

2. I'd define ConsAreLiars' non-theme theme as "inspiration."
That which inspires us to keep working for a better world in spite of the pain we see around us. :)

4. I voted for a non-theme
the calendar last year was SO beautiful. Why change a good thing? ;) It appeals to all.

6. please consider this poll closed
the clear winner is ConsAreLiars' non theme:

For simplicities sake, we are going to consider it "Inspirations"

There will be a thread up by the end of the weekend with submission information.
