I know that's got to hurt. I had a stress fracture of my foot once and it hurt like hell for being such a little crack. I hope they gave you good drugs.

Only gave me percocets that keep me awake but they did help. Not hurting much now so it is good. I decided laughing about it is better than being miserable. Course I haven't been cooped up for a whole week yet and already going stir crazy.

8. I don't do stupid things

very often but when I do I really do it well.:rofl: I am laughing at myself and so why not let others laugh too. I could of probably spent the night out there alright but I was worried about the animals. Even after all was said and done I kept trying to figure out how to get in to take care of them all without causing more pain and felt guilty making them wait for Terry. Least everyone had been fed and were where they were suppose to be so they were safe.
Thanks for the hugs and need all the vibes I can get. Terry can't take off work too long since that means no paycheck and I hate having to get others here to do for me. I hate being dependent and waited on.

I could use a pair pf unbroken feet but that is going to take time. I seem to be attached to the ones I abused. :) So far we seem to have things covered and taking anything else one appointment (see what the docs say) at a time. I would much rather drag you up here when I could show you why I suffer among so many repukes.

The county does have some redeeming qualities.

They haven't said yet. My left foot is still swollen so they can't do surgery yet. Trying for the 18th. On the right with just the boot I guess it depends on how well I behave with leaving it on. So far doing good on that. When I try googling it comes up any where from 4 to 12 weeks. I'm hoping to be closer to 4 weeks.

21. My "Stupid Mrs. V. Trick"

Our garage door opener wasn't working. I decided I could fix it myself (I couldn't). I was descending from a 7-foot step ladder, missed the 3rd rung, fell on the garage floor and broke my right radius in two places. I went back upstairs and emailed Bertha, asking her to come home right away. Then I went back down to the garage and tried to work on the damned thing some more until Bertha got home to take me to the emergency room. Bertha was not pleased to hear I'd done that, but I think she wasn't too suprised, either.

Here's me, at Christmas, on my mom and dad's back porch:





I had to promise my orthopedic specialist and my mama that I'd never climb a ladder again. Lesson learned. Broken bones hurt!

I never had any broken bones before now, but guess I am making up for all those I missed. I don't plan on ever trying to climb down a second floor deck again. lol Actually thinking making we add stairs to it.

bad now as it did. I keep reminding myself of how lucky the docs say I was not to of done more damage if I start getting down. Then think about how stupid it was and laugh at myself. It works for me. :) Now to learn patience.
