Scenic Drive to Durango, Colorado
On Tuesday, we took the scenic route to Durango, Colorado. We went through the towns of Fairplay, Gunnison, Montrose, Ouray, and Silverton.

South Park Saloon in Alma


Alma, Colorado


Controlled Burn


Sangre de Cristo (Blood of Christ) Mountains


More Mountains


Ouray, Colorado


Blue Mesa Reservoir (south of Gunnison)

1. Great shots!
I really like the Alma photos. If I could live anywhere in Colorado, it would be Alma. (OT, but "alma" means "soul" - and my soul feels free in the Colorado mountains. :) )

3. Alma is great
And the South Park Saloon has some great food -- including vegetarian dishes. I was really surprised. I will definitely be going up that way again!

2. I've only been to Colorado once
to Denver and Vail. It's nice to see some of these out of the way places. Thanks for posting!
