Meet Lola, rescue kitty.

I sort of got inspired by Obama's choice to adopt a rescue dog. This kitty was on death row at the shelter. she was picked up off the street somewhere in Berkeley She's a sweet little thing and is quite happy observing our home from the top of the shower door in our guest bathroom.

Her name is Lola

1. Lola'a beautiful!

She looks young and sleek. And already proving herself to be a character. How in the world did she even get to the top of the shower door? :rofl:

She looks like a cat my ex-SIL had almost 30 years ago. I think she was a feral cat ex-SIL's friend took in off the street, she was pretty wild. Then said friend was sentenced to many years in jail, so ex-SIL too the cat. Her friend had had the cat for about 2 month before she was jailed, and hadn't give the cat a name. Just called her Kitty. When ex-SIL took the cat in we tried and tried to think of an appropriate name for her, but nothing suited her as well as Kitty. Eventually her name evolved into Miss Kitty, like the Gunsmoke character, because she had a wild west streak in her. :) She was a great cat, and lived to a ripe old age. May you have as many years with your Lola. :hi:

4. She likes it up there

There a frame for the glass doors that is about an inch and a half wide behind the curtain. She's coming around. she ventured out last night and is starting to explore a bit.

I used to know a bad-ass male cat named "Butler" who looked almost like her, except he was buffed-up.
