1. For what it's worth, why I voted for "Baby"

So many shots here are beautifully crafted and assembled and masterfully taken, i. e. berries.

Sebastian with his red hair looks inadvertent in front of the red tassled throw, and beautifully photographed and possibly accidentally composed, nobody but you could have entered this picture.

2. I voted for the straberries because they make me feel warm. I keep coming back and looking at

that pic.

4. Well, I am a baby voter

The strawberries are great, but, frankly, I am amazed that they are ahead in the poll. I mean, it's a really good picture, but strawberries are always red. Every time I look at them they are red. There just isn't anything surprising about the picture. It looks like a very well composed, beautiful red picture.

But Baby? Good grief, I don't think I have ever seen such hair, such RED hair on a kid. You have this red haired kid standing right next to a red shawl. They are both red, but they look like two entirely different colors. I look at it and say "Whoa, these colors are so different how can they both be red?" It truly looks like you captured the moment. I'm not going to say that it does this as well as the homeless guy with the dog, but it has that same type vibe, in a way. It is far more likely to bring an emotional response from the viewer than the strawberries, even if they would be more likely to want the strawberries on the wall. Honestly, I thought the homeless guy and dog was by far the best entry last month, but I would not have wanted that on my wall.

I don't know this, but I think it probable that were this poll in GD, the baby would win hands down.

Usually I just vote in polls and don't comment, but I feel pretty strongly about this one.

5. I almost feel like it would be an unfair advantage

to use Sebastian, even though everything you say is true. It's kind of like when people use puppies or kittens in their photos, and everyone thinks, "Well, there goes the contest," because they always get a positive response from the people, even if they're maybe not the most original or creative photograph. (Although last month's winner, of course, is an exception to that.)

I did luck out with the baby picture, though, because I wasn't even thinking abut "red" when I took it, just that he looked so darned cute standing there.

7. I'm thinking I'll probably just go with the berries,

since that was my original plan and the Sebastian shot was more or less an "accidental" red picture. I just love his cute little face...I can't stop taking pictures of him.
