4. That's how I keep all my house plants

(and anything else I happen to be growing) alive. All of Alaska's indoor plants would die in the winter if we didn't use lights -- or they get so leggy and spindly, they look ridiculous.

I even have a small Indian curry tree growing in the lower level of my house under the shop lights. It's not big, but the leaves are there when I need them for some special dish. :) I've probably got the only fresh curry leaves in the entire state of Alaska.

6. That's impressive
I've just discovered curry. Haven't been brave enough to use anything other than a packet though. Fresh curry sounds yummy.

7. Well, there's curry, and then there are curry leaves.
What you've got in the packet is probably curry powder or curry paste, a mixture of spices. The curry leaves are like a smaller, softer version of bay leaves that lend a very distinctive and unique flavor to certain Indian dishes. It's also called "kari."
