3 more shots from my back pages
I'm thinking of going back through my 2007 archives next, having found a few things like these from 2008 that I'm kind of happy with, even if my initial reaction to them was "Naw."

1. spectacular bird nest/bird picture
I love the plain gray sky against the tree and bird nests.

Is that a popular picture taking spot in Toronto? It's funny to go to a favorite picture taking spot and find other photographers there. My husband laughed at me when I got off the beaten path to go to the marsh at our park to take pictures. Although it is slightly hard to get to, it is actually right by the road, so there is noisy traffic all around and he just didn't like the overall setting. I would say, "Yeah, but the picture only points in one direction, and nobody hears the traffic when they look at the picture." I thought I had found this special, out of the way place, but the next time I went there was a guy there with a tripod, and he stayed hours. I felt vindicated.

2. Thanks! It is a popular spot, yes.
I was waiting for these guys to finish up so I could grab their space, and passed the time with a few photos of them.

It always pays to keep an eye on other people with camera gear to see where they go. I've found some great vantages that way.
